Warranty
American Industrial Transmission, Inc. will repair or replace any transmission should the workmanship prove defective within the first six (6) months or 1500 hours of normal use. Fluid leaks are covered for the first 3 months only. All warranty determinations will be made solely by AIT. We promise to administer all warranties in a fair and reputable manner.
Negligence, misuse, accident, abuse, or misapplication will void warranty coverage.
The customer is responsible for contacting AIT in the event of a problem or failure. AIT will advise how to proceed. No work may be performed on a warranty unless authorized by AIT. Any disassembling of the unit will void the warranty.
AIT will determine how the transmission repair should be done. AIT may require that the unit be returned for the repair. Otherwise, AIT will provide parts to the customer to make the repair. If the customer performs an authorized repair, defective parts must be returned to AIT before labor costs will be reimbursed.
AIT will pay ground shipping charges for an approved warranty. We will not cover rental, diagnostics, travel time, or lost revenue. AIT will pay up to $750.00 labor for removal and replacement of a defective transmission or up to $350.00 labor for minor repairs. AIT will pay up to $350.00 labor for removal and replacement of a defective converter. No additional charges will be accepted.
Proper installation procedures, such as flushing the cooling system and replacement of the torque converter and filter must be observed in order to assure warranty coverage.

General Policies
Transmissions sent to AIT for rebuilding will be torn down and inspected. If the cost of rebuilding will be higher than the base price, you will be notified. If the additional charges are not approved, there will be no labor charge for our inspection. AIT takes no responsibility for missing components on returned units.
AIT dyno tests most transmission styles. We run the units until they reach operating temperature. We verify our transmissions function in all ranges, have no excessive vibration, and are operating within the manufacturer’s recommended pressures. Our testing verifies solenoid operation and noise levels.
AIT’s prices are subject to change without notice. Please call to verify prices before quoting your customer.
A 20% restocking fee will be levied on all returned merchandise. No partial kits may be returned. Returns must be made within 90 days of sale. All returns are subject to inspection.
The part numbers represented by AIT are to be used for application purposes only. AIT uses OEM part numbers only for identification of parts and assemblies.
2% 10 days, net 30 for approved accounts. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. COD shipments may require a bank check.
AIT does not require special documents or numbers to identify returns. Please specify whether your unit is a core or a return. Make certain your company name and address appear on the packing list.
Customers are responsible for all shipping charges. Parts orders are subject to a handling fee. COD charges and insurance fees will be passed along when applicable. Transmission weights furnished upon request for estimating freight costs.
You, as the receiver, must note on the incoming freight bill any damage occurring in shipping. You must also file the claim with the shipping company for any parts or transmissions damaged in transport.
Special order merchandise is not returnable. Special orders may require a deposit.
